The middle one lets out a little meow. - **4–9 s The sync dance:** A side-to-side sway with paws held out, in step with each other, as the camera moves closer. - **9–14 s Turn and close-up:** All three turn their backs, turn round again and keep dancing; the clip ends close on the one in the hat. ## What is the La Calabaza AI dance? La Calabaza is the dancing-cats meme of autumn 2026: three tiny kittens stand up on their hind legs on a roadside at night and dance in perfect sync to the song "La Calabaza" ("The Pumpkin"), one in a cowboy hat and one in round glasses. People now put their own cats and dogs into it with AI. This template makes it from one photo. The video follows the original clip, so the stand-up, the sync dance and the turn land on the same beats; all three dancers become your pet, with its fur, markings and face. Videos start at 10 credits. ## Where the La Calabaza dance came from The kittens are AI-made. The account @meowtakeover posted a trio of AI kittens dancing by a road on 28 June 2026, and on 27 August 2026 posted them again in a cowboy hat and round glasses, dancing to "La Calabaza". A green-screen copy of the kittens went up the next day, and its sound is the one most videos now use. Then everyone joined: people pasted the kittens over their own dance videos, did the dance themselves, and turned the trio into their own pets with AI — a dachshund version posted on 9 September 2026 is one of the best known. With Halloween on 31 October, the pumpkin song is everywhere. ## Tips - **Show the whole body** A photo of your pet standing or sitting, whole body in frame, gives the dance the right shape. - **Face sharp and forward** Eyes and nose clearly visible, so all three copies look like your pet. - **Bright, even light** Daylight or a well-lit room keeps fur colour and markings right under the street lamps. - **One animal per photo** Crop group shots to the one pet you mean; two animals in one photo can blend. ## FAQ ### What is the La Calabaza trend? A viral dancing-cats meme: three AI kittens stand up on a roadside at night and dance in sync to the song "La Calabaza", one wearing a cowboy hat and one round glasses. People remake it with their own pets, by dancing themselves and with AI. ### Who started the La Calabaza dance? The AI kitten account @meowtakeover. It posted a kitten trio dancing by a road on 28 June 2026 and the hat-and-glasses version set to "La Calabaza" on 27 August 2026; a green-screen copy the next day spread the sound. ### Does it work with dogs? Yes. Cats and dogs both work: all three dancers become your pet, keeping its ears, muzzle, fur and markings. Paws stay paws — no human hands. ### Can I use a photo of a person? This template is made for pets: the dancers are small animals standing on their hind legs, so a photo of a person would look odd. Use a photo of your cat or dog. ### Do the hat and glasses stay? Yes. The middle copy wears the little black cowboy hat and the right one the round glasses, like the original; the one on the left wears nothing. ### What photo works best? One pet, whole body in frame, face clear and well lit. Crop group photos to the one animal you mean. ### How long is the video and what format is it? 14 seconds, a vertical 9:16 MP4 with the trend sound, ready for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Every version renders the whole clip. ### How many credits does it cost? Premium costs 25 credits at 480p, 55 at 720p and 95 at 1080p; Balanced starts at 10 credits. There's no watermark, and if a photo isn't approved or the render fails, the credits are refunded automatically. No account needed: you can also buy a single video at checkout from $7.99, refunded automatically if it fails. ### Is the La Calabaza Dance AI video free? Not free, but there's no subscription either. Without an account, one video costs from $7.99 at checkout. With an account, a video starts at 10 credits (credit packs from $9.90; credits never expire), and your account's first full 480p video costs just 20 credits. No watermark, and failed renders are refunded automatically. ### Will my photos be published or shared? No. Your photos and videos are private: we never publish them, show them to other users or use them in our examples or marketing. Only you can see them in your history. ### How long does it take?
