Single Ladies Dog Dance: The Song, the Viral Reel and How to Make Your Pet Dance Like Beyoncé
Everything about the Single Ladies dog dance: the song, the trio reel it copies, the dachshund post that passed 40 million views, which pets work best and how to make yours from one photo.
Two dancers in a dark studio flip their hair to "Single Ladies", and in the middle spot, where the lead dancer should be, a long-haired dachshund dips, tilts and tosses its head on every beat. That clip passed 40 million TikTok views in a week and turned "make your dog dance like Beyoncé" into one of the biggest pet trends of October 2026.
What song is it?
Beyoncé's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)", released in October 2008. Its music video dance was choreographed by Frank Gatson Jr. and JaQuel Knight after a 1969 Bob Fosse routine. The TikTok trend uses an edit of the song dancers have used since November 2023, when the routine came back as a trio dance.
Where did the dog version start?
- 15 September 2026: @beridzelenee posts the routine with two other dancers in a dark studio, filmed from a low camera. It passes 5.8 million views.
- Late September: AI versions start putting a pet in the middle dancer's spot, and a CapCut template spreads the idea.
- 4 October: the dachshund account @king_odiee posts its long-haired dog in the middle spot: "I learned some new dance moves from my girl". By 12 October it has 40.7 million views and 1.2 million shares.
What happens in the clip
- 0–3 s: the pet bows its head with the dancers, then pops up and looks into the lens.
- 3–10 s: it sits in front and dips, tilts and lifts its head while the dancers behind do the moves.
- 10–15 s: a big head toss on the same beat as the dancers' hair flips, fur flying, then a straight look at the camera.
The joke is the contrast: two dancers give it everything, and your pet does a few serious head moves like the star of the show.
Which pets work best?
- Fluffy or long-eared dogs. The fur and ears fly on the head tosses, like the dachshund's.
- Calm, serious faces. A dog that looks unimpressed gets the biggest laughs.
- Cats. The twist nobody expects. A cat keeps its own face and gets gentler head moves.
- Short-haired dogs. They work too; the head and ears carry the moves.
Use one sharp photo with the whole body in view, from ears to paws, and only one animal in it.

Captions and hashtags
"I learned some new dance moves from my girl", "Why is my dog serving harder than the backup dancers?", "Main character, backup dancers". #singleladies is the big tag; pet posts add #dancingdog and #dogtok. Keep the platform's AI label on: viewers ask whether the dog is real in almost every comment section.
FAQ
Is the dancing dog real? No. The dancers are from a real reel; the pet in the middle is made with AI from one photo.
Will Beyoncé be in my video? No. The reel is a TikTok creator's own post, and your pet takes the middle dancer's place.
My pet came out with long brown fur. Why? That is the dachshund of the reel coming through. Use a photo where your pet's own coat and ears are clear and run it again.
