How Much Does an AI Trend Video Cost? Prices Compared (November 2026)

What one AI trend video really costs on CapCut, AI video apps like Higgsfield, Kling, PixVerse and Pika, and one-photo trend generators, plus what pushes the price up.

One AI trend video costs anywhere from nothing to several dollars, and the spread comes down to who does the work. A CapCut template is free if you film the routine yourself. A general AI video app such as Higgsfield, Kling, PixVerse or Pika works out to roughly $0.40 to $1.40 per short clip on a monthly plan, but you write the prompt, retry until the moves look right and add the song. One-photo trend generators sell the finished trend per video, at about $4 to $6 for a short one on the sites we checked. On MemeFX AI one video starts at $6.39 without an account, and credit packs start at $7.92. All competitor prices below were read on the makers' own pages on 2 November 2026.

CapCut: free if you do the performing

CapCut's free plan includes free templates, and Pro at $19.99 a month (CapCut shows this as a reference price; sign in for yours) unlocks all premium templates and 1,200 AI credits. For a trend that is an edit, a beat-synced photo dump or a transition, that is the whole cost. For a trend that is a performance, the template is free but the work isn't: you have to film every move, and many templates end with a CapCut-branded outro you need to delete.

General AI video apps: cheap per clip, expensive per trend

Plan pricing makes a single clip look very cheap. Pika's Starter plan is $10 for 900 credits, and a 5-second 720p clip costs 33 to 122 credits depending on the model, so roughly $0.37 to $1.36. Higgsfield's Starter is $19 for 270 credits, and its pricing page estimates about 14 credits per video, close to $1 a clip. Kling's Standard plan is $8.80 a month after a $6.99 first month, and PixVerse's is $10.

Three things eat into that number. First, the clips are short and generic: you write the scene, and the model invents the motion, so recreating a specific routine usually takes several runs, each paid. Second, plan credits reset: PixVerse refreshes its 1,200 every 30 days, so a plan bought for one video costs the full month. Third, the free tiers carry limits that matter for posting: PixVerse's free accounts top out at 540p, and Kling lists watermark removal as a subscriber benefit.

One-photo trend generators: you pay for the finished trend

These sites charge per video because each one is a complete trend: the original moves, camera and cuts, with your photo in the lead. Prices are close across the market. Try a Trend charges $4.99 for the first video and $5.99 after, Ramalama AI starts at $3.99 for 10 seconds at 480p, and MakeTrend AI at $4.98. The biggest difference isn't price but sound. Try a Trend's videos are silent by design and you add the song in TikTok; MakeTrend AI puts the song in the file on almost every template, and MemeFX AI on every one.

On MemeFX AI, you can buy one video at checkout from $6.39, or buy credits, from $7.92 for 20. Credit costs as published on our template pages today:

  • Balanced, a highlight of up to 15 seconds: 10–15 credits at 480p, 20–25 at 720p.
  • Premium, the full clip: 20–55 credits at 480p, 40–120 at 720p, 70–205 at 1080p.
  • An account's first Premium 480p video costs at most 20 credits.

So the smallest pack covers two 10-credit Balanced videos, or one 10-second Premium video at 480p. The other terms, packs, refunds and expiry, are on the pricing page.

What makes one video cost more than another

  • Length. Most tools charge more for longer videos. On ours, a 30-second Premium video uses nearly three times the credits of an 8-second one.
  • Resolution. On our templates, 1080p costs about three and a half times 480p. On plan apps, higher resolutions are often reserved for higher plans.
  • People in the frame. Some group templates, like the three-person Chipmunks dance, only come as Premium, so they start higher.
  • Retries. A prompt app charges for every attempt, good or bad. Trend templates fix the motion in advance, so most people need one render.
  • Watermark and sound. A free tier with a logo, or a silent file you have to sync to the song yourself, is a hidden cost in time.

Which is cheapest for you

  • One video, this week's trend, you in it: a trend generator, paying per video.
  • Lots of AI clips every month, your own ideas: a plan on Pika, PixVerse, Kling or Higgsfield.
  • The trend is an edit, and you'll film it: a free CapCut template.
