Short answer: you can post an APT. video for free, but not a finished, watermark-free AI video of you and a friend in the pink studio. Film it yourselves
The only route that's completely free, and the only one where it's really the two of you moving. Hang a pink sheet or roll of paper behind you, put a stool and anything drum-like on one side, and lock a phone on a tripod in landscape. One of you plays the drums, the other kneels in front with a hairbrush for a mic; finish with the two of you dancing side by side. Add the APT. sound from the app's library when you post.
What it costs you: a friend in the same room, a backdrop and an afternoon of retakes.
CapCut templates
CapCut is free, and its APT. templates are user uploads from October 2024: "APT ROSE BRUNO MARS" by ED is a 20-second 3:4 photo dump with about 112,000 uses, "APT Rose bruno mars" by DAN runs 27 seconds in 9:16. What it costs you: it's a slideshow with the APT. sound, not you in the music video.
Free credits and free plans
- Noiz has a two-photo APT. page. Its Free plan gives 2,000 credits a day, but the cheapest APT. video (15 seconds at 768P, with the Noiz watermark) costs 7,500 credits, so free credits alone never cover one. Paid plans start at $6 a month for 100,000 credits.
- Magic Hour lists an APT. "Tennis Girls" dance template and mentions free daily credits, without saying how many or what a video costs. It's a different scene from the pink studio.
What it costs you: a sign-up, a wait for credits that don't add up to a video, or a watermark on what you post.
When paying makes sense
- You can't film together. Two photos taken in different cities still end up on the same pink stage.
- You want the real shots. The kit, the mic, the kneel, the dance, timed to the song.
- You want to post it as is. No watermark, with the sound, up to 1080p.
When it doesn't: you just want your photos with the APT. sound (use a CapCut template), or you have a friend, a pink sheet and an afternoon (film it).
