How to Do the Skull Cap Trend With AI (You or Your Pet)

"How dudes act 0.01 seconds after putting on a skull cap" step by step: where it comes from, the sound, what happens in the 10 seconds, the pet version, photo tips and the price.

A bit dorky in a bright room, glasses on, you pull a plain black skull cap down over your head. Hard cut: the lights are off, your hood is up, the glasses are gone and you stare into the camera like a different person. That's "how dudes act 0.01 seconds after putting on a skull cap". Here is how to make it from one photo, or with your dog or cat.

What is the skull cap trend?

A TikTok meme from October 2026. The before is deliberately awkward, often glasses and a plaid shirt; the after is the same person in the dark with the hood up over a black skull cap. No single creator owns it: early takes appeared in the first week of October, several passed 10 million views that month, and pet owners started putting skull caps on their puppies too. The sound is Bryson Tiller's verse from DJ Khaled's "Wild Thoughts". The Skull Cap template follows a take by @antoniopieterss from 18 October 2026, with the cut at 4.75 seconds, right where the beat drops.

How to make it

  1. Open the Skull Cap template, or Skull Cap Dog for your pet.
  2. Add one photo: you, face clearly visible, head and shoulders or chest up. Glasses are fine.
  3. Pick a version and generate. Every version renders the whole 10 seconds.
  4. Download and post with the AI label on. The MP4 comes with the trend sound, the beat on the cut.

What happens in the video

  • The awkward before: a bright room, your everyday look, turning a black knit cap over in your hands with a closed-mouth smile.
  • Cap down: you stretch the cap open and pull it down with both hands.
  • The hard cut: same room, lights off, the beat drops.
  • The cold stare: black hoodie, hood up over the cap, glasses off, hands on the hood, a dead-serious stare into the lens.

Before the cut you keep the hair and clothes from your photo; after it you wear the black hoodie and cap.

The pet version

On Skull Cap Dog, a young man holds your pet up to the camera in a bright room; after the cut both wear black skull caps and stare. It follows a take by @noahnellys from 25 October 2026, one of the first pet versions. The man is made up for the part, so you only need a photo of your pet: one animal, face toward the camera, head and chest in frame.

Photos that work best

  • Face sharp and forward. The stare after the cut is a close-up; no sunglasses, masks or side profiles.
  • Bright, even light keeps your features steady when the video switches to the dark half.
  • Head and shoulders. A selfie-style photo matches the clip.
  • Your own photo, or an adult who said yes; never a stranger, a child or a public figure.

What does it cost?

Both versions cost the same: Balanced is 10 credits at 480p and 20 at 720p; Premium is 20 credits at 480p, 40 at 720p and 70 at 1080p. Without an account, one video starts at $7.99. No watermark, and failed renders are refunded automatically.
